Comment on Lydia James' What Same Sex Marriage is Really About

 

                I do agree with Lydia's general outlook on same sex marriage. It is really funny that the same people that say they do not like big government are the same ones that want to interfere on who is marrying who.

 

                I used to be against same sex marriage but when I read one article where a young twenty year old said some days he thinks of committing suicide because he is gay, my attitude changed completely. Recently another statement that solidified my understanding about gay people was made by the professional basket ball player. He said that "this whole thing is like you know that the sky is blue but you keep telling  yourself that its red." If compassionate conservatism does not work here I don't know where else it will work.

       

                Lydia talks about children that are brought  up in structured, traditional families, tend to grow up to become model citizens. Here I beg to differ. I know that if we take a survey of equal number of gay and traditional families, statistics will show that 99% of straight parents use fowl language as has become the way of communicating for the so called traditional or straight families. So if the government was smart, it would encourage gay marriage and turn around and encourage traditional parents to give up their children for adoption by gay families. After all it will be better for the government to have half of well spoken citizens than double the amount of laud and obnoxious ones. It is just me forgive me.

Lawmaker calls for Lehmberg's  resignation

                 There is a new call for the jailed Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign from office.Others say she must be allowed to complete her term since she has apologised, she is even suggesting to go for counselling. The state Rep. Phil King is pushing the Public Integrity Unity, the ethics watchdog over wrong doing by public officials , which operates from her office to take action. In the event of their failure to do so, he is introducing Bill 3575 by state Rep. Pat Fallon, R- Frisco. This bill will move this unity to the office of the Attorney General.

                 You see I have got two things to say about this District Attorney, first of all i do not tolerate any human being as educated as a lawyer saying they need counselling for binge drinking, this is a matter of right and wrong, so as a lawyer if one does not know the difference between the two, they have no business in the business they are involved. One can not be a decision maker when they are that unstable.

                 Secondly, I have too much issues with people that say to the police officer or anybody for that matter: "Do you know who I am?" Those words right there are words of a dictator. That kind of talk really bring bad memories to me. I lost  a lot in my life when i lived in a country of officials that pull rank. that is lawlessness at its height.

                  In my last blog or test short test essay, I wrote about democrats that don't even know that as a minority party one must always run scared. Clean like a whistle, talk of a democrat that does not have common sense to think a little about all that. Now she is languishing in the slammer house.

Reply on The Right to Bear Arms

At least I have found someone who agrees with me on this subject. People should be allowed to exercise their second amendment by all means, but a lot of order and restraint and self discipline should should always be in play here.

One thing that she mentioned caught my attention here, of the sixty two atrocities committed by gun violence, forty nine of them were from guns bought legally. I have known this since I started hunting on my father's farm at age sixteen, gun owners are supposed to have strong gone safes or cabinets where guns are locked all the time when they are not being used by legal owners. In most cases here a gone in a home will most likely take the life of a family member before or after mass murders.

Also there is this wild belief that these amassed guns will be used for protection from the government. It makes me so sad to realize that this country has such shallow thinkers among this great American society. So maybe it is me that does not understand. Is it that easy to have fluid logistics to command everyone that comes out of their home carrying a gun? You are not even a militia to begin with, but you have the nerve to tell us that the founding fathers told you to bear arms to overthrow a legally elected government.  So who do you replace that government with and where does it ever explain such a scenario in the constitution.

Thank god this thinking is harboured by the minority otherwise we were going to end up like Syria or even worse.

First of all i have since stopped going to church ever since I came down south here. Looks like if you told these gun totting southern to go in church with guns and shoot them off there so that god answers their prayers they would actually believe in that hog wash. It is unbelievable that the writer of ( Venezuela come and take our dictators ) can talk so much about prayer and then with the same mind spew so much vernom about people that don't look like him, think like him, or even believe and support the same party like him. The man is so misguided he can not even see he is a dictator himself.

He goes on to talk about the founding fathers : whose founding fathers? The only founding fathers I know are George Washington as a freedom fighter and Abraham Lincoln as a slave liberator. The rest were slave masters who are not even worth mentioning, and you if you really pray to the same GOD i know you are not going to tell me there was anything moral about slavery unless you do not know what a slave owner did to fellow human beings.

Y oh talk about defending yourself from the government, which government, whose government? When I left Africa i thought i had left ignorance behind and I'll never see it again in my life, boy was I wrong. My grand daughter in elementary knows this country operates under a strong constitution and to deviate from it will be breaking the law. You sir want to break the law by shooting people without being swarn in as a soldier not even as a militia. That won't even be a coup d'etat but treason at the highest level. So good luck and hurry up before people of the same mind with you are extinct. They will be extinct because intermarriages are on the rise and bye-racial children are progressive children, Gays and Lesbians are going to adopt children and those will be progressive children too. Before you turn fourty sir you will be in the minority so deal with it.

Loading up the ballot with costly measures is risky business

         It should surprise no one if Austin and Travis County voters say " no " to local initiatives in the November ballot. The writer points out what has been my fear about voting on issues all the time, voters will be asked to vote on complicated issues which they do not even understand the meaning of the wording that is used to form a proposal.
           This writer is trying to alert the voters and educate us on what the Austin City Council has put on the ballot. Proposed amendments will appear with ambiguous short line sentences designed to confuse the targeted voters. A lot of journalists try to educate us to be citizens that make good decisions but the politician  are not interested in smart voters because they will not have anyone to dupe.
           Local government and any other government official can increase taxes at any time they feel like doing it. This brings me back to the idea that an educated voter will bring the best out of the elected official. Also when issues that need votes arise at least the electorate will know what they are committing to.
           In this article the writer goes out of their way to show how maybe voters  will be  voting for a medical school at the University of Texas without even wanting to know where the funds will be coming from and when they see increased taxes they will start to complain but the official will simply tell them that they voted for it.
           In closing this critique, I think that since print journalism is getting phased out reporters must establish schools where voters can be educated on how to vote for issues because the arrogance of politicians clearly shows that they know that voters are right where they want them, blinded by their wits.

A Texas-sized silence as immigration talks ramp up

           
With nearly two million immigrants and a 1,200 mile boarder with Mexico, Texas is more affected by immigration than any other state.
             At the State of the Union, Governor Perry did not mention a single word about immigration and illegal immigrants. Nobody on the GOP side from Texas is even making radio talk show rounds to voice their opinion on the issue. Even the contentious immigration bills that flooded used to flood the house are no more circulating. The party leaders have been left speechless at the capitol of Texas. They are caught between their traditional supporters who would demand tough action against illegal immigrants and the repercussion of such inculcated moves.
              Immigration is not an easy subject to ignore in Texas though. About 16% of the illegal immigrants live in this state. State demographers say Hispanics will make the plurality of Texans in 2020 and will become the majority between 10 and 20 years later.
             Teas and Arizona  Governors will still be required to asses the security of the borders before a go ahead is given for the new progressive new legislation for immigration is acted upon, but the freshman Democratic US representative, Joaquin Castro does not have faith in the two governors to trust them with a fair and balanced assessment of the situation.
             For some of us who have been affected by these one sided immigration laws we can not wait to see the new laws being implemented. Considering history and every issue involved in this matter, there is nobody that has got a moral fortitude to go against the winds of change anywhere in the world let alone the USA.
